This book introduces additional new characters that have been hinted at in previous books involving her step-father's family. Her step-sister-in-law shows up dead, and she is once again involved in trying to solve the various mysteries surrounding the case. This book causes Aurora to learn more about her step-father's family members than she would like. Finally, I'm done with the series, and I enjoyed reading it. I will likely continue to read more Charlaine Harris books as she puts them out (plus there are still a few in the Shakespeare series that I haven't read). This book was published in 2003, so I wonder if there will be any more in the series. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys some light reading involving murder mysteries.
