Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs : A Low Culture Manifesto
by Chuck Klosterman

Date Completed: June 19th, 2005

This is one that I have been seeing in B&N for quite some time and finally decided to buy it and give it a try. The book is a collection of essays centered around pop culture. Some of the essays I found enjoyable, and other essays were less interesting to me. I guess that is to be expected when he explores such a range of topics - Real World, Saved By The Bell, Billy Joel, soccer, current pop music, etc, etc.

Other collections of essays:

  • When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris
  • The Partly Cloudy Patriot by Sarah Vowell
  • Naked by David Sedaris
  • Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris

    Other pop culture books:

  • Wonderland: A Year In The Life Of An American High School by Michael Bamberger
  • Everything Bad Is Good for You: How Today's Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter by Steven Johnson
