Annie Duke : How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions at the World Series of Poker
by Annie Duke

Date Completed: May 10th, 2006

Review written 2006-06-25

I borrowed this one from the library of my parents. I needed a quick and easy read after finishing the last book of the Kushiel's Legacy series! This one was quick and easy. It follows the same format as the Moneymaker book that I read not too long ago. She alternates back and forth between a specific tournament and her personal history. I like the poker player memoirs, and I'm sure I'll read more of them. I would like to read her sister's memoir (Poker Face: A Girlhood Among Gamblers).

Other poker and gambling books:

  • Poker Face: A Girlhood Among Gamblers by Katy Lederer
  • Moneymaker : How an Amateur Poker Player Turned $40 into $2.5 Million at the World Series of Poker by Chris Moneymaker
  • Busting Vegas : The MIT Whiz Kid Who Brought the Casinos to Their Knees by Ben Mezrich
  • The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King: Inside the Richest Poker Game of All Time by Michael Craig
