The Poker Champ
What's his story?
He's still not sure that he has joined the group, but he started playing in the former Amphora game through a teammate on the baseball team - Daniel Johnson.
He has been playing poker for perhaps 2 years now (as of December 2005), and like most, was first drawn to it via espn. It took him a full 8 months before he stopped looking at Hilger's suggested betting strategies in limit. He has too many poker books, from which he has gained close to zero knowledge.
He loves going to Vegas, but monthly "expenses" which will not end until the year 2012 limit his ability to go on too many trips.
What does he do when he's not playing poker?
He has 4 kids, aged 12-19. He likes to refer to them as his "expenses." Whoever said "Love don't cost a thing" was dead wrong.
He is a SAS programmer, but he doesn't work at SAS. His hobbies are legion, but playing in the over 28 men's senior baseball league is his favorite. Yes, it IS a career, he doesn't care what you say.
Casino Poker Games of Choice
When in the casino, he plays the lowest of the low limits in poker, and has not ventured into the NL area at a casino yet. He also likes playing blackjack and craps. Again, look for him on the tables for poor people. He dresses nicer than them, though.
Well, he claims that he is so tight that you couldn't squeeze a greased BB up his ass, if you wanted to, that is.
He tends to over-value TPTK, and undervalue mid-pair. He is too chicken to bluff.
Plus, he's not too bright, so he probably doesn't know 99% of his leaks. He would appreciate any help here. :-)
Poker Pet Peeves
It bothers him when people beg to see his cards once a hand is over and they've mucked.
He plays Ultimatebet and MVPPoker. He plays under the name "verrildd", and usually at small NL ring games (25 dollar buy in). He just doesn't have enough cash to move up, though in the past he played a lot at 3/6 limit games. He still can't figure out how to beat dumb players like himself.
