Beef and Cabbage

- 1 head cabbage
- 1 green pepper (chopped)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp cooking oil (optional)
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed tomato soup
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 3 tbsp uncooked rice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce (or crushed or diced tomatoes)
- Brown ground beef in oil; add onion, green pepper, salt, rice.
- Slice cabbage in bottom of casserole dish; spread beef mixture over cabbage.
- Mix tomato soup and water; add tomato sauce. Stir.
- Pour tomato mixture over cabbage and meat.
- Cover and bake at 350 for 1.5 hours.
