Sausage & Corn Chowder

2 lbs. (Turkey) Italian Sausage (1 mild/ 1 hot)
1 large yellow onion, chopped
3 potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 28-oz. cans creamed corn
1 28-oz. can petite diced tomatoes
1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
2 c. water
4 T. dried basil
1 T. salt & 1 T. pepper
4 t. sugar (or 2 pkg. splenda)
2 small cans evaporated milk

In a large skillet, brown sausage until small and crumbly. Drain. Add to large pot with all other ingredients except milk. Simmer on low heat for 45 minutes. Add evaporated milk and heat til almost (but not quite!) boiling.
