More details:
I flew to Atlanta for the weekend where Dad was also going to be visiting for a few days. We celebrated Grandpa's birthday, visited with family, and took a trip to the house in Jasper.

Saturday morning, Dad and I headed to Jasper to get some things from the house. Grandma and Grandpa moved to the house in Jasper in the early 80s (when they became known to me as "Grandma and Grandpa in the Mountains"). Dad and I were to get photos and slides from the house as well as genealogy information. Mom also wanted a trunk from Grandma's bedroom.

Unfortunately, we did not have the correct code for the alarm system and we set off the alarm. Man, that sucker is loud! We weren't able to go inside the house until the alarm was quieted. The cops arrived and checked up on us and took our information, but they were not able to disarm the alarm. We finally got in touch with Laura who told us the correct code an hour later. It was a stressful situation at the house! I'm glad that we finally could get into the house because there were MANY photos to retrieve.

We packed Dad's car completely full, mostly of slides and photos. We were also able to fit the trunk into the backseat of the car, but we had to put it in upside down so we could not utilize the space inside of it.

Saturday night, we had a gathering with the Bursons at Grandma and Grandpa's house for Grandpa's 89th birthday. We had a nice dinner and then cake, ice cream, and chocolates!

Sunday, Dad and I went to visit Grandma for a special Sunday brunch that they have once a month. Afterwards, we played some Kings on the Corners and then walked around the grounds. We returned to the lobby to find that they were setting up the area for salsa dancing! All of us tried to learn the dance steps and had fun dancing with the residents.
